Here are my paintings from 2 days ago. I went painting in the fields behind our house. I had seen the hay bales in the fields a week earlier while out walking and the farmer told me he would be taking them away soon, but may leave a few behind. So off I trundled and luckily for me, there were quite a few scattered around along the edges of the fields. Autumn is definitely arriving early this year. The grass is wet with dew in the mornings and some of the trees are taking on their Autumnal colours - the odd few have already lost all of their leaves. As always, the oaks are the last to come into leaf in the Spring and the last to turn in Autumn but even the oaks have yellows and golds showing. Summer 2014 is officially over! There are some very pretty sheep in the middle distance field of this painting - they are a gorgeous chocolate brown colour - quite unusual around here (I later found out that they are a Jacob crossbreed!).
