October in the orchard
The sun came out yesterday so I set up in the apple orchard behind our house. With just the wild birds for company and the occasional thud of an apple falling, it was bliss. The colours were beautiful and the only disappointment was to have chosen a shaded place to paint - great for the constant light, but bloomin chilly - glad I always pack my hat and scarf (just in case!).
