Poppies and the polytunnel

I had a lovely day yesterday. I made a return visit to the Sutton Valence allotment that my friend Joanne introduced me to nearly a year ago. The weather was perfect; sunshine with a gentle breeze. After a walk round I decided to set up in a similar position to last time. The polytunnel with the view beyond is such an enjoyable challenge. The poppies on the allotment were a beautiful bonus. A low haze hung onto the horizon, softening the distant view which I really had fun painting. I popped in to see Jo before heading home. It was so good to see her. Thanks for the beer Jo - much needed xx.
